Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use Martial Rocket. Last updated 26 July 2026.
1. These terms
These terms apply between Martial Rocket and the gym or organisation that holds an account with us (“you”). By using the platform you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. The service
Martial Rocket is software for running a martial arts gym: memberships, billing, class schedules, attendance, grading records and member communication. We provide it on a subscription basis and may improve or change features over time. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will tell you in advance.
3. Free trial
New gyms start on a 30-day free trial. No card is required to begin. At the end of the trial you may subscribe or stop — if you do not subscribe, the account is closed and your data is available for export for a reasonable period before deletion.
4. Fees and payment
Subscription fees are agreed with you before your trial ends and are based on your gym’s size and number of locations. Fees are payable in advance for each billing period. If a payment fails we will contact you before suspending access. We will give reasonable notice of any change to your fees.
5. Payments taken from your members
Payments your members make to you are processed through Stripe under your own Stripe account and are subject to Stripe’s terms. Those payments are between you and your members. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you charge them, for the refunds you issue, and for holding the necessary consents to bill them.
6. Your data
Your gym’s data remains yours. We do not sell it, we do not share it with other gyms, and we do not use it to advertise. We process it to provide the service, and we handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request an export of your data at any time while your account is open.
7. Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials secure and ensure your staff do the same.
- Collect and hold your members’ information lawfully, including any consents needed to contact them and, for members under 18, the involvement of a parent or guardian.
- Use the messaging features responsibly and in line with applicable marketing and privacy law.
- Do not attempt to access another gym’s data, or misuse or disrupt the platform.
8. Availability
We work to keep the platform available and reliable, and we carry out maintenance with as little disruption as we reasonably can. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and occasional downtime or planned maintenance may occur.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
10. Ending the agreement
You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period. We may suspend or end an account for non-payment or for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, after giving you notice and a fair opportunity to put it right. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period before it is deleted.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will notify account holders of material changes, and continued use after they take effect means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
