Member comms
Automations, AI-drafted replies, and the guardrails that sit around both.
Draft and approve
The default for every automation is draft-and-approve: the platform writes the message, you approve it, then it sends. You can opt individual automations into sending on their own once you trust them.
Some things can never be opted in. Money and under-18s are always draft-only, no matter how the automation is configured.
Guardian-safe messaging
A message about a member under 18 is addressed to their guardian, never to the child directly. If there is no guardian contact on file, the message is held rather than sent to the child as a fallback.
On top of that, automated messages concerning an under-18 are always reviewed by a person before they go out. Both rules live in one decision point in the platform, so they apply identically to every automation, every broadcast and every reply.
Quiet hours and frequency caps
Messages respect quiet hours in your gym's timezone, so nothing goes out at 6am. There is also a cap on how often any one member can receive an automated message, and a separate tighter limit on retention messages specifically.
The effect is that a member who triggers three different automations in a week doesn't receive three messages. Chasing people harder is not the same as chasing them better.
Your gym's voice
The platform learns tone and style from messages your gym has already sent — how you greet people, how formal you are, how you sign off. It learns style, not facts, because facts go stale and come from your live data instead.
When it drafts a reply, it can only state facts already in your system. It cannot invent a class time, quote a price you haven't set, or promise a free session. Anything it doesn't know appears as a clearly marked blank for you to fill rather than a plausible guess.
Languages
If a member writes in a language other than your gym's primary one, the first message in that language is confirmed with you before anything is sent. You decide whether to continue in that language rather than the system deciding for you.
Still stuck? Email hello@martialrocket.com and a person who works on the platform will answer.
