Members & the portal
Households, guardians, and what members can do for themselves.
Households and guardians
Members who belong together — siblings, a parent training alongside their kids — sit in one household. This drives family billing, and it drives who receives communication about a young member.
A member's guardian relationship is set from their household and their date of birth. It is not something staff have to remember to apply per message.
The member portal
The portal is where your members go, branded as your gym. It runs in any browser on any device — there is nothing for members to download and no app store to find you in.
- See the timetable and book into classes
- Follow grading progress — current grade, skills signed off, what's next
- Message the gym directly
- Update the card on file without going through you
- Check in for class
Self-serve card updates
Members can replace an expiring or failed card themselves. The platform will not let a member remove their only card and leave themselves with nothing on file, which is the failure mode that quietly creates arrears.
Attendance and streaks
Attendance is recorded as members check in, and builds into streaks and patterns. When someone's attendance drops off, they surface as at-risk while you can still do something about it — rather than appearing in a cancellation report a month later.
Still stuck? Email hello@martialrocket.com and a person who works on the platform will answer.
